Disney II PTA presents: 2009 Fall Fund Drive: Extended Day = Building a Stronger Future for our Children Frequently Asked Questions: 1. How much should I donate? Our goal for the Fund Drive is 100% participation from every family at Disney II. We can fully fund the extended day if each family gives $385 per student at the school. We encourage you to give more or less; whatever amount is most comfortable for your family. 2. What factors should I consider when deciding how much to donate? There are many factors to consider when determining your gift including what amount is most comfortable for your family. But you should also consider how much you would spend a year at a private school? How much would you spend on extracurricular arts and music classes? Or that extra hour of babysitting you no longer need. 3. Why the Extended day and not another project? We feel the Extended Day really sets Disney II apart from virtually every other CPS school. We are providing our children with 25 extra days of learning a year! What better gift can we give to their future? 4. Can I pay with Credit Card? Credit card processing fees are very high, over 2% per transaction, and reduce the donation amount significantly. The benefit of a program like the Annual Fund is that 100% of the donations made go directly to fund the Extended Day. We encourage donations in check form but will accept credit card donations as well. If you are considering a credit card donation, please contact Eileen Schnepff at (312) 952-7398 for processing.
